The Goal

Of course our ultimate goal is to have a single, multi-field Little League Complex of our own. Until then, we must maintain the facilities that we currently use.

Below is a list of improvement projects that were planned/completed for our fields in the 2004 season. If you have time, materials or expertise that can be used on any of these projects, please contact a Board Member.

Major League Field

    Paint LLB logo on building

    Paint "Niceville-Valparaiso Little League" on wall

    Add tarps over bleachers

    Add "wall of fame"


Valparaiso Field

    Overseed & fertilize - completed

    Sod infield holes

    Top-dress & roll field

    Fix field lights

    Batter's eye

    Landscaping

    Underground wiring

    Add backstop netting

    Replace P.A. speakers

    Sod outfield

    Add tarps over bleachers

    Extend bullpens

    Remodel pressbox

    New grandstands

    Finish kiddy play area

    Repave spectator area

Twin Oaks

    New portable backstops for practice fields

    Concrete work - step, ramps

    Install P.A. system

    Install lights on practice field areas


Twin Oaks - Teen Field

    Replace fencing - backstop, curl at bottom near batting cage

    Additional netting above backstop

    New pressbox

    Remodel concession stand - 220 outlet, drop ceiling, better service windows, clear sink, add hot water heater

    Improve P.A. system

    Add and level clay inside boxes

    Improve batting cage - concrete, lighting, electrical outlet

    Lockable storage shed or cabinet for rakes and other grounds equipment

    Improve bullpens

    New crushed brick or vitro-clay

    Raise home plate to avoid pooling and improve drainage

    Additional field lighting

    Fill holes and level field

    Repave bleacher area

    Batter's eye

    Plastic safety cap for outfield fence

    Improve perimeter road to suppress dust
