March 16, 2002 - TWIN OAKS

PARADE: Please meet at Lewis Middle School no later than 7:30 am. Parade leaves at 8:00 sharp. Parade vehicles will use the football practice field to line up. Parents dropping off players should use the school parking lots. You may decorate a truck with balloons, banners, etc. for the parade. The children are allowed to ride in the back of the truck. They MUST be on their bottoms, and there MUST be at least one adult in the back with them. Players should be dressed in full uniform, minus their hats as they may blow off while in the back of the truck. When arriving at the ball field, please stay with your team and watch for traffic. There will be little flags on the field with team numbers on them, please do not allow children to remove flags. Line up by leagues, starting with Tee Ball at first base, Minor C, Minor B, Minor A and ending with Majors at third base. Please find your number and line immediately. Bring your team banner if you have one. Ceremonies will start as soon as everyone is lined up.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: We need volunteers to serve in the food line and concessions. Each team must provide two volunteers to bring a baked good for the cake walk. Please see Team Mom to volunteer. You will NOT be asked to volunteer during your child's game. Serving lines will be open from 11:00 - 2:00. We will need a volunteer to help cook/server in 30 minute shifts. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be served.

COOK-OUT TICKETS: Each family will receive 5 tickets. Please try to sell these or buy them yourselves. Tickets sell for $4.00 each. This is our biggest fund raiser of the year, and we really count on the funds from this event. Little League will only be as good as you make it. THANK YOU!!! Money or unsold tickets are due back to the Team Moms by March 9. There will be a prize for the top three individual sales and a team prize for the high team sales.

TEAM DRINKS: Team drinks will provided free of charge These are for players, manager, coaches and Team Mom only.

TEAM QUEEN: Each team has the option to elect a Team Queen, if desired. She will be introduced on Opening Day with the team. Please include her in your team photo.

CONCESSION: Concession stand workers will be volunteer as in the past. Parents are not expected to volunteer during their child's game, but will be asked to volunteer the game before or the game after. Team Mom will schedule all parents to concession duty. If there are conflicts with your schedule, it will be your responsibility to trade with another parent. Be sure to let your Team Mom know about the change.

PHOTOS: Pictures will be taken on Opening Day. You will be informed of the time as soon as the schedule is available. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to scheduled time. Do not be late as time does not permit the photographer to wait on late arrivals. If you are not on time, you child will not be in the team picture. Individual pictures can be reschedule for later. Please fill out your order form even if you are only getting the pre-paid package (included in registration fee) along with money for any extra photos. Photo buttons will be available for sale at a later date.

NO FOOD IS ALLOWED IN THE DUGOUT AT ANY TIME! NO CLIMBING ON THE FENCES IN OR OUT OF THE DUGOUT. PLAYERS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO VISIT PARENTS IN THE STANDS DURING A GAME OR VISIT THE CONCESSION STAND. NO ONE EXCEPT ELIGIBLE PLAYERS, MANAGERS AND COACHES MAY OCCUPY THE DUGOUT.

NO PROFANITY WILL BE TOLERATED. THE USE OF TOBACCO AND ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IN ANY FORM IS PROHIBITED ON THE PLAYING FIELD, IN THE STANDS OR DUGOUTS.

It is our responsibility to leave the dugout and stands free of debris when we leave. Please do not take this responsibility lightly. Let's take pride in our parks where our children play.

Please remember: APPLAUD GOOD PLAYS, IGNORE ERRORS, ENCOURAGE A GREATER EFFORT, INITIATIVE AND HUSTLE. CONGRATULATE THE WINNER, ENCOURAGE THE LOSER, ENJOY THE GAME FOR WHAT IT IS. IF IT ISN'T FUN... IT ISN'T LITTLE LEAGUE.
