Players
For the first time ever, NVLL has three teams in the State
Tournaments! The 12-yr old National, Junior and Senior League All-Stars all
won the District 1 and Section 1 Championships and are headed to State.
2002 All-Star results.
What makes Niceville-Valparaiso
Little League a success?
to find out.
If you purchase your own batting helmet,
DO NOT have it painted or put stickers on the outside! This voids the warranty, which makes it unusable for
Little League games and practices.
If you missed the Parents Meeting on Jan 15, you can view the presentation by
clicking here.
Due to the unfortunate incident
at the Little League World Series last year, Little League has tightened its
proof of player eligibility requirements.
The immediate impact on NVLL is All-Stars will be required to produce ORIGINAL
birth certificates, that will travel with the team. If you think you might be
playing on an All-Star team, you should consider obtaining an extra birth
certificate at this time. For more information, read Little League Baseball's proof
of age and residency
requirements.
The manager must also have a current medical
release form.

New Rules and Regulations for 2002: As a result of the Little League
Congress in April and a subsequent meeting of the rules committee, a number of
rule and regulation changes have been published and are available for download
at: http://www.littleleague.org/manuals/2002rules.pdf.
If you are interested in becoming a Manager or Coach, read this
letter. A Manager Application form must
be filled out and signed by all Managers and Coaches.

Team Moms
The concession schedules during the
tournament are as follows:
Majors: Early game does late. Late game does early. (9am/11am games on
May 18 are considered early/late respectively).
Minor A: Each team to provide one worker whenever your manager is
umpiring. Managers, please keep your team moms informed when this will be.
Minor B & C: Each team to provide one worker whenever your manager
is umpiring. Managers, please keep your team moms informed when this will be.
For May 18, the 9am & 11am workers are not required because Tee-Ball will
still be covering it. 1pm workers are required. On a few nights, we may have too
many workers at Twin Oaks. The Park Ranger will use his/her discretion to send
someone home.
There was a
Team Mom Meeting on Tues, Feb 19, 6:30 at the Holiday Inn Express. If your team
was not represented, contact Renee Hill
immediately!
